DESCRIPTION

The Roper Whitney No. 17 punch features a heavy duty fabricated steel frame with 6-1/2 inches of throat depth, making it an especially versatile punch. The punch generates 5 tons of pressure, enough to punch a 1/2 inch hole in 1/8 inch mild steel. At the same time, the die shoe is adjustable to permit the proper alignment of punches and dies for punching thin sheet metal.

The advantage bench mounted punches have over portable rotary punches is that they feature a more convenient linear pull handle, and provide additional throat depth.
