The FEIN MultiMaster 700 1.7 Automotive is a powerful, industrial-grade oscillating tool well suited for auto glass work as well as cutting sealant and opening electric vehicle battery compartments. When equipped with the appropriate cutting or scraper accessory, its controlled oscillating action helps technicians cut through tough adhesives, sealants, and bonded joints securing EV battery enclosure covers.

Electric vehicle battery packs are commonly protected by covers secured with high-strength sealants and structural adhesives. Removing these covers for inspection, diagnosis, repair, remanufacturing, or recycling requires a tool that provides excellent control around sensitive and expensive components. The FEIN MultiMaster allows the operator to guide the accessory precisely along the enclosure seam, making it a valuable addition to professional EV battery service and battery recycling operations.

Compared with conventional rotary cutting tools, the oscillating action offers greater control and generates less aggressive cutting movement. This makes it easier to follow battery enclosure seams, work around corners, and remove cured sealing material without relying on a large grinder or cut-off tool.
