Mandrel tubing benders are used for tight radius bends with very little distortion in the bend area. This is accomplished by supporting the tube on the inside during bending. Frequently misunderstood, the mandrel is actually the part of the tooling that goes inside the tube. Bend radii of 1.5 times the diameter of the tube, or less, can be achieved with very good results.
