Piranha P65, 65 ton Ironworker

The Piranha P65 combines exceptional power, precision, and versatility in a rugged, American-made machine with more standard features than any other manufacturer. As Piranha's most popular ironworker, the P65 is designed to increase productivity by performing multiple fabrication operations from a single machine.

Equipped with five fully integrated workstations, the P65 performs punching, flat bar shearing, angle shearing, round and square bar shearing, and coping/notching without the need to move material between separate machines. An optional bending attachment and an extensive range of tooling further expand the machine's capabilities, making it a true all-in-one fabrication solution for job shops, structural steel fabricators, manufacturers, and maintenance departments. The powerful 65-ton punching station features an 8-inch throat depth and is capable of punching a 1-1/16 inch hole through 3/4 inch mild steel. Piranha's proprietary urethane stripper system, automatic hold-downs, and full electrical stroke control come standard and provide one of the fastest punching cycles in its class.

Piranha's innovative engineering extends throughout the machine. The low-rake flat bar shear produces flatter, cleaner cuts with less material deformation, while the floating angle shear blade minimizes distortion for high-quality finished parts. The integrated coper/notcher offers outstanding versatility, allowing operators to notch heavy or light material, remove full legs from angle iron, or make precise trimming cuts with exceptional control. The unique dovetail tooling system also allows operators to switch from punching to optional bending operations in seconds, reducing downtime and increasing productivity.

Standard Features & Benefits:

• Urethane Stripper Attachment- keeps material flat through the punching process, eliminating distortion. The shorter required stroke gives you a faster punching cycle
• Automatic Urethane Hold-downs- clamps and releases material automatically with each stroke. Part movement is eliminated by clamping the part throughout the entire shearing cycle.
• Visibility- a direct line of sight over the hold-down bar allows the operator to easily and accurately line up cuts to the shear blades.
• Flat Bar Shear- the low rake angle shear design results in flatter and higher quality sheared parts. Shear blades have four useable edges, giving you a longer life and less expensive blades.
• Angle Shear- the floating upper blade seats in the center of the angle prior to cutting, minimizing distortion, giving you a higher quality cut.
• Coper Notcher- the low rake angle keeps part flat and under control during notching.
• Quick Change Tooling– the unique Piranha dovetail design allows for quick installation and removal of all standard and optional tools.
