DESCRIPTION

The Rotary Cooled Cushioned Platen attachment is the ultimate accessory for custom knife makers, medical & surgical instrument sharpening, or any application needing an ultra fine finish. The integrated fan and internal heat sinks significantly reduce heat transfer protecting the integrity of the heat treatment of your workpiece. The cushioned heat treated tool steel platen also helps reduce belt bump allowing for the use of 2,000+ grit belts. This attachment was declared the 'most important tool in my shop' by knife expert Ken Onion.

Also included is the Quick Flip Blade Holder to achieve smoother grinds and better symmetry in less time. It features two locking arms to set the horizontal grind angle and a 20 degree quick release adjustable rest for vertical angle and includes a digital angle gauge. The Quick Flip allows you to grind both sides perfectly and quickly without having to re-clamp the blade.

Standard kits are available for the Hardcore 2x72, Burr King 960, Travis Wuertz TW-90, and Bader BIII model grinders. Please contact us for more information on other grinder fitment.
