The Tradesman Vise features a 60,000 psi ductile iron body and a fully enclosed design that keeps dust and debris clear from the rear anchored spindle nut assembly and other internal components. For versatility, the 28808 vises are equipped with gigantic 8-inch wide serrated main jaws and grooved pipe jaws that can hold up to 4-1/4 inch OD round stock. All Tradesman vises are mounted on a swivel base that rotates up to 360 degrees and has dual locking levers to prevent rotation. Meets federal spec #GGG-V-410a, Type IV.
