The XC models include an electroless nickel coating to prolong the life in corrosive environments such as mounted on a service truck.

The Tradesman Vise, the smallest vise of the bullet family, features a fully enclosed design that keeps dust and debris clear from the rear anchored spindle nut assembly and other internal components. For versatility, the 28840 vise is equipped with 4-1/2 inch wide serrated main jaws and grooved pipe jaws that can hold up to 3-1/2 inch O.D. round stock and is great for holding irregularly shaped objects. All Tradesman vises are mounted on a swivel base that rotates up to 360 degrees and has dual locking nuts to prevent rotation when in use. Meets federal spec #GGG-V-410a, Type IV.
