English Wheels

The English wheel, or wheeling machine, has been in use for centuries to shape metal into compound curves. These tools have become very popular today in the hot rod, custom motorcycle and aircraft industries as well as metal art and restoration. Steel or aluminum can be shaped by pushing the material back and forth between the flat upper wheel and the lower (anvil) wheel. Anvil wheels can be changed out to achieve different radii.
