The JET EVS-1440B lathe is designed for optimal performance in any workshop, featuring a robust construction that ensures longevity and precision. With its D1 4 Spindle, precision ground for accuracy and supported by class 7 tapered roller bearings, it achieves a maximum run out of .0004 inches. Operators will appreciate the convenience of the apron-mounted actuation control and jog button, facilitating easy gear engagement and spindle inching. The versatile two-speed gearbox allows for operation at low speeds ranging from 40 to 365 RPM and high speeds from 220 to 2,000 RPM and the electronic variable speed control ensures your machine is at the optimal speed for a variety of machining tasks. Additionally, the tailstock can be offset for taper turning, enhancing the machine's versatility. Constructed from Meehanite castings, the EVS-1440B retains its tolerance and rigidity over years of use, making it a reliable choice for any machining environment.

Safety is always a top priority and the EVS-1440B is one of a few machines that offer an Electronic Chuck Key Docking Station. This ensures the machine will not active without the chuck being seated in the docking station. Another important safety feature on this machine is the foot pedal e-brake to quickly stop the machine in case of an emergency.
