JET Elite 9 x 49 Electronic Variable Speed Mill with ACU-RITE 203 DRO

JET Elite Vertical Milling Machines combine even more precision and reliability to ensure years of service. The ETM-949EVS is constructed using the certified Meehanite® casting process with extra ribbing for a rigid foundation. It features a 9 x 49 inch table, class 7 spindle bearings, table and ways that are hardened to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, and Turcite-B coating on the X and Y-Axis for reduced vibration and smooth movements. The ELITE line features increased precision with .0004 inch spindle nose runout (.0008 inch at 6 inches) and .00012 inch spindle taper runout, .0004 inch perpendicularity of table way to saddle movement over 12 inches, .0005 inch parallelism of traverse movement of the ram to table top over 12 inches, and .0006 inch parallelism of the traverse movement of the table top over 12 inches.

The ETM-949EVS is equipped with a powerful 3hp 230v, 3ph motor with Electronic Variable Speed that is adjustable from 60 - 5,000 rpm and includes a digital readout and speed dial to quickly set your spindle to the optimal cutting speed. For ease of access, the electrical box is located on the back of the column and includes two 115v outlets for additional powered accessories. Other standard features include an automatic oiler, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, swing-away control box with e-stop, a heavy-duty electronic spindle brake, swing-away safety shield, and an LED work light.

This configuration comes standard with a 2-axis ACU-RITE 203 DRO or upgrade to a 3-Axis with knee readout or 3-Axis with quill readout. Several other configurations are available in the options drop-down menu which includes X, Y, and Z power feeds to speed up movements and help achieve a more consistent finish or an air-powered draw bar to quickly change tooling and reduce the chance of over-tightening.
