Multitool 2 x 36 inch Belt Grinder Attachment

The Original Multitool 2 x 36 belt grinding attachment has been the fabricator's favorite shop tool for over 40 years and is an upgrade for any bench grinder. This versatile tool removes material up to 5 times faster than the equivalent grit grinding wheel. Belts change in seconds to grind, sand, deburr, or polish. A variety of belts and discs are available for any project.

The Multitool has four different grinding surfaces to cover almost any grinding need. The front contact wheel is the most used which is serrated to make grinding and deburring controllable and smooth. The top platen can be used for straightening or profiling longer edges and the Multitool's underside has a slack belt area for blending and finishing. The MT362 can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or anywhere between to best suit your application. Finally, the bonus 7-inch disc on the side can be used with or without the optional miter table for beveling and profiling or final finishing.

Multitool fits most popular brands of grinders with screw-on type wheel guards with no special adapter required. The fitting kit contains a universal adapter with radial slots to suit the wheel guard mounting holes, and easy-to-follow instructions. (See documents tab for fitting template) Multitool will NOT fit a grinder with heavy cast wheel guards if the guards are used to retain the spindle bearings. We recommend a quality 1/2 hp grinder as a minimum with 3/4 or 1 hp preferred. If you'd like to use heavy backing belts such as 3M Scotch-Brite, a 1 hp motor is required. The shaft size must be 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch. With a standard 3,450 RPM grinder belt speed is approximately 4,970 surface feet per minute.
