This is not possible with most planishing hammers that have a fixed die gap. The lower arm on these cast iron floor models can be lowered to accommodate an optional bottom anvil holder for deeper parts. They feature heavy-duty purpose built pneumatic motors and sturdy cast iron frames. A needle valve allows for fine tuning of power output and an automatic air cutoff switch shuts off air to the motor when the foot pedal is up.
