The 13 x 40 lathe is a staple machine in most job shops and the JET GHB-1340A Geared Head Bench Lathe is ready for yours. It features an enclosed gearbox that ensures smooth and quiet operation and its precision roller bearings support a hardened and ground spindle, allowing for tight tolerances essential in high-quality machining.

The headstock is continuously oiled during operation, minimizing maintenance needs, and all JET lathes come with the industry-leading JET Red Assurance Two-Year Warranty. Additional features include an independent lead screw and feed rod, apron-mounted spindle actuation control, and option to offset the tailstock for taper turning, ensuring versatility and precision in various machining tasks.

This lathe is equipped with a 6 inch 3-jaw direct mount chuck with a top reversing jaw, a steady rest, follow rest, LED work light, and a FREE stand with built in storage. Optional accessories can be found in the options drop down or on the accessories page and include ACU-RITE or Newall digital read out options, taper attachment, collect closer, and more.
