DESCRIPTION

Flowdrill exists to provide an inexpensive, high quality replacement for traditional fastening methods such as nut-serts or weld-on nuts and bungs when working with thin wall material. Flowdrill is a solid tungsten carbide tool, which uses friction to form material into a cylindrical or cone shape. This formed hole can then be tapped or used for a reinforced bearing or bushing surface.

This simple two-step process is completely chip-less and capable of 1000's of repetitions. Practical uses would be O2 or EGT sensor installations, brackets and tabs, sheet metal fastening, etc. Flowdrill can be used in drill presses, CNC machines or even high speed hand drills for small holes.

See documentation tab for RPM and horsepower requirements.

When used properly these bits can last for thousands of holes. Flowdrill can work in nearly all types of metal including steel, stainless, copper, aluminum and brass. Please see our document on Flowdrill requirements for maximum material thickness for each bit.

standard bits leave a raised collar behind after drilling, and the flat bits trim off the collar for a flat fit. See more »

The kit includes standard bits.

No unfortunately not. Flowdrill bits need to be used in a drill press or milling machine. The bits are made from tungsten and would be too brittle to handle any side load caused by hand-held drills. See the documents tab for speed and horsepower recommendations for each bit size as well.

“Good ”
August 3, 2021 by steven A. (United States)
“there's a wire brush and a nylon brush, and a paste and an oil, the instructions were okay, but a little better labeling of which is intended for the drill and which is for the tap would help.”

I'm extremely happy with my saw, cuts smooth and effortless and it's even quieter than the abrasive saws. Trick-Tools is "Tight" in other words, they are on the ball. Great product and outstanding service.
