DESCRIPTION

The Riv-Nut Recess Dimple Die Set from HammerFab ensures the head your threaded insert or 'riv-nut' sits flush in your panel. These Riv-Nut dimple dies make a 3/4, 9/16, 1/2 or 7/16 recess and can be used with a 1/4-20 bolt or a hydraulic rivet tool and corresponding mandrel. Rated for a maximum thickness of 16 gauge mild steel and made from 4140 pre-hardened alloy steel, these dies are made to last for years of use.

Usage directions: Drill a 1/4 inch hole in your panel, install the dimple, then drill the 1/4 inch hole out to the proper size for the desired riv-nut. De-burr and install the riv-nut.

Even though aluminum is easier to form, the shape of dies like this prohibits going much thicker with a softer material. .063" would be possible with aluminum but there will be clearance issues with going much thicker.

“Decided I needed to just order these and I've been so happy to have them.”

Just want to say this bender is awesome. I was concerned at first about the extra money for air/hydraulic conversion, but it was well worth it!! The service from ya'll was great - never had anyone (businesses) call and make sure I was happy with the shipping and get so many parts shipped so quickly!! Thanks Again.
